Demos:
Track 1 – Brazil
This track incorporates a samba beat and a sample of the Brazilian folk song, Baianá. Baianás are women that dress in the traditional white blouse, skirt, head wrap, and colourful beads. They cook and sell their quitters on the streets of Salvador, Brazil.
Track 2 – Africa
This track incorporates different African and Afro-Cuban rhythms, polyrhythms and a chant originating from Nigeria. Special thanks to Otis Wilcox Perenara on the congas. Doug Brush as the lead chant vocalist and James Caughley, Gerdion Venter, and Joshua Derwahl as the main chorus chant vocals!
Track 3 – Ireland
This track incorporates the reel Catharsis on Tin Whistle played by myself and the Bodhran (a traditional Irish drum) played by Argene Flack! Special thanks to Sabrina Rose for singing!
Track 4 – Maori
This track is inspired from the Maori culture in New Zealand. Maori music is inspired by nature, with different instruments copying bird and wind sounds. For this track I recorded birds in Riccarton Bush in Christchurch, New Zealand. And there is a Haka in the pre-chorus and chorus.
Track 5 – America
This track encorporates different elements from America. Fusing hip-hop and jazz into one track. The intro and pre-chorus were recorded onto cassette tape and back into the track! Special thanks to Malachi Tamepo for rapping!
